Working during the Holidays
To work during the holidays was great because that is when all the malls are full with shoppers. On christmas eve, there was a lot of last minute shoppers running around in the stores to collect gifts for those who were left on their list. I like that day because at the mall I work for (which is located in Pittsburg), has the most business. Other days, the mall would be deserted looking like a ghost town or a building that people were unknown to. The only part that i dislike about the holidays was the week after christmas because you have a lot of people coming back to your store to return or exchange the products you have sold. My co-workers and I also had to restock all the products that had sold out, so it was kind of hard to stay balance between helping customers and restocking inventory, plus being aware of anyone stealing the merchandise as well. Other than that, work was good and I enjoyed it very much.

Spending Christmas with Family
On christmas day, I spent time with family in four different cities. The beginning was in pittsburg, waking up and saying merry christmas to my family. Then I my brother and I got dress, waited for our sisters and left to visit our cousins in Manteca for a baby dedication for their kids at a church they go to. After service, my syllablings and I went to Hayward to visit our grandfather that was in the hospital. We spent about an hour there laughing and watching t.v. together with our grandfather. Next, we headed out to Fairfield to visit our grandmother. When we got there, a lot of our family members were there already. There, we ate the food, did interactions with kids, watch the football, and socialize with each other because we haven't seen most of our family for a year or so. We stay there for a while and left there by night time and went back to Pittsburg and went to sleep.

Internship Readiness
The qualities or requirements to be internship ready are being knowable. To be able to perform at a high level when working in a company that requires that skill. Internship also suggests high quality working for presentations and projects that you are assigned to do. Taking initiative and doing things without having to be told or asked. Requires organization to know what to bring and where your notes or work is at without tossing papers around. You must be able to network with people and adapt to any situation within a work environment. Also being on time and committed to the company. To acquire the skill of writing because of the work that you would do for that task.
I will demonstrate internship readiness by being on time. Help colleagues with challenges that they face with their work. Finding the opportunity to take initiative for example, taking notes during a group discussion. Be able to contribute in a classroom setting. Continue to perform at a high level through high quality work. To proofread my blogs thoroughly for grammatical errors when correcting work.
I plan to improve on my public speaking skills by seeking feedback from colleagues and instructors. I will also focus learning as much as possible about QA. Talk to alumni or professionals in QA to hear about their experience for internship. I will better my writing skills by reading more books. To make sure I am prepared for any presentation and projects that are given to me. To improve on my time management so that I get enough sleep.

Reflection on Work Experience
The best job I had both best and worst am my current job name LIDS. I am an assistant manager at my job. The responsibilities of being an assistant manager is second command meaning when the general manager is not there; the assistant makes sure the store is up to par. Also doing a lot of paper writing and you are responsible for opening and closing the store. One thing I very dislike about the job is that my job doesn’t include commission. I didn’t like sweeping or moping the floors at the end of the day. What made my job enjoyable are the co-workers I work with in the present and that we are able to listen to our own choice of music. We are also located in the center on an island in the middle of the mall, so we get good business all around. What I did not enjoy about my job are my co-workers in the past because they were very exacerbating, lying, and not helpful. At my job, if people can steal easy because the hats are outside and you have to constantly look out for them. I am glad and happy to work with a new staff now. Skills I have developed in my job are communication, taking initiative to do and complete objects without being asked or told to do. I am able to work well in the environment, multitasking with many customers, and adapting fluently to different types of problems. I learned in my work that it’s a team effort job and you have to be reliable to get the job done.

The Mural and The Occupy Movement
The way how Rivera’s Frozen Assets mural and the Occupy Movement are comparable is that the two connect by poverty. Rivera’s picture shows the people in the middle picture were starving and sleeping in construction places do to bankruptcy to both men and women, and the occupy movement fighting the economic issue between rich and poor. I believe it’s a clear connection because the mural and the occupy movement described their titles specifically and they are both part of the 99% role in deficiency. Both of the events first happen on Wall Street. The mural shows the depression by the colors, they look deteriorating and the occupy movement show depression by the number of people who have gone unemployed to protest because they feel imbalanced about the economy and where it has gone to. During the great depression, people that were affluent had hidden banks to save their money in. As for the occupy movement, it appears that even though an economic problem is in the mist, people that wealthy have hidden organizations to keep their money safe. Having a smaller amount of jobs is another reason why these two occasions connect. In the great depression, jobs where very few and there was barely any employment for the poor and middle class. For the occupy movement, businesses are hard to find now and days for people that were unfortunate or even middle class. This is why I think the picture of Rivera’s Frozen Assets mural and The Occupy Movement are alike because they both define the word Depression.

Inspiration Dance
My inspiration comes from dancing, watching peoples body language, how they expressing themselves, and how fluent their movements are to the beats of the music. When I watch people dance, I feel that they are telling a story wither it’s about their life or within the song. One of the most dancing styles that inspire me is krumping. Krumping is a dance art that involves intense control movement to the muscles. I learned that dance art in high school watching a movie called Rize. Rize is about a movie introducing the new art of dance which is Krump. One the dancers called krumpers in this movie is a man named Tight Eyez. Tight Eyez is the creator and founder the dance art of krumping. His dancing inspires me to learned this skill and continue to progress further of being fluent in this dance style. My interest in krump became stronger as I watch youtube videos and TV shows in college. This dance style is set in a community feel because krumping is express in a way where you release your problems for an example, relieves you of stress, you feel better, if you have anger, krumping is a great way to get rid of the anger you have. I shared this inspiration with people because dancing kept me away from doing wrong. Most people I shared with agree strongly and like how I applied this dance style for good reasons. As I continue to enhance my skills in dancing, I use practice for dance battles and choreography. I am still in progress and will always find ways to improve my skills on dancing. This inspiration will last forever because I love this dance style, it’s a part of me, It’s my healing and problem solving when I’m feeling down or angry, and I’m really good at it.

Church Community
This essay is about my church community. I first join the community in November 2004. I still go to the same church every now and then or when I can. I join this community because it was something new to experience and my whole family wanted to go, so I decide to follow and became very grateful for having that opportunity to be in a safe community. People there were very friendly and active of what they were doing as in praising and celebrating with each other. The benefits is learning close relationships and growing in a spiritual way which feels like being healed. A disadvantage is when rumors spread throughout the congregation, a lot of members become doubtful or have second thoughts about the church. For the success, being able to have great partnerships and the church is known throughout the states. The problems are that people would gossip a lot inside the church. The members have a choice to join or not, it is up to them to decide. What I enjoy about the community is the activities they had as of Friday nights would be youth nights. I also like the events they had like sports and games. I enjoy the time with the youth a lot, being able to be a light for some of the kids. My dislikes about the church is that everyone thinks they know who you are by what you do, and that is what upsets me very much. The church community I go to is great and I am proud to be a part of it.

The Opposite of Gentrification
When I was growing up, my neighborhood was nice and relaxed in a way where it felt like a community. I lived in a peaceful environment until I was in my teens. After coming home from middle school, I started to notice changes within the environment that made me concerned after coming home from middle school. I lived in an apartment complex and made a lot of friends that ended up moving out because the upkeep wasn’t affordable. People with good money or that can afford the price moved into a complex. The complex improved over the years I lived there, but at the same time the community started to switch atmospheres from calm and relaxed to dangerous and unsafe. I became more aware of my surrounds because of the unsafe activities that were occurring around the environment I lived in. Before, it was safe to play outside with your friends, stay the night at friend’s house, trade Pokémon cards, and have community get-togethers with everyone that lived inside the complex and even people from outside can be invited. Now you have to be careful when playing outside, or just stay inside, and worry about getting into fights or getting jump because that person thought you were looking at them the wrong way. To receive gun threats on a daily bases is scary because you could never know what is going to happen to you. I have witnessed these things that have happened and it is not pleasant, not great to have happen in your life. I am who I am despite the neighborhood I lived in because of my family. My family did their best to keep me out of trouble and show me their mistakes and taught me how to handle and prevent those mistakes from happening. Thanks to them, I am the person who I am today.

If Businesses Were More Reliable.......
My intake on the article makes me mad because businesses take advantage on low-come customers, but at the same time customers don't reseached any of the companies, or reading closely on the contract that's given to them. The way how these buisnesses are affecting the opportunity divide in a negative way is that it cancel's a customer path to success if customers do not know how to use credit cards. It also gives freedom and temptation to buy things that customers like instead of what they need. Customers get to far into debt and businesses take advantage of that, its what they need to keep their business running. Shut's down opportunies for the customers that are trying to be successful in the business world. The businesses are there to set up customers and not help like they are suppose to. I believe that businesses need to be honest and actually help customers in times of need instead of not caring and tricking the customers into buying the product.
I think corporations, government, and individual businesses are all measure of some responsibility because all three could be buying off of each other in certain area's that customers wouldn't know or lying on the contracts of being credit free. Resources that are needed would be where customers are able to afford and payback the loans with fair interest in price. It would be great to have honest and reliable businesses that want to help and not just take advantage of the customer. The employee should sit down with the customer and explained the contract in a way that the customer understands what they are getting into before signing the papers. I believe by the buusinesses helping customers would help reward them in a nice and health way instead of guiding the customers the wrong way and not feel guilty or don't even care about the contract. The world would be better if businesses took the time and show the customers how to manage credit.

Came From a Long Way
My name is Anthony Fiame; I was born in San Mateo, California. I currently stay in Pittsburg which is located in the Solano District. I grew up in a well-rounded community, a balance between relaxation and violence. My family did their best to support me, and I appreciate them for that, I was really blessed to have them in my life. During my education in school, people believe that I had a disability and place me in special education which was made for kids that were special. I was always interested in video games and Legos or stuff you can build with because of how it works and operates. Other than that, sports were my passion at the time during my education. In high school, I started to develop certain skills for computers like: making a computer from scratch, creating pictures using Adobe Photoshop for flyers, albums and video games covers, and pictures for websites. Now I am a student at a program called Year Up, Inc. and is proud to be part of this promising organization.

East Bay school districts scramble to get students vaccinated ahead of deadline.
This educated article deals with students trying to get ahead of the vaccine deadline. The Antioch district had ninety-eight percent of its student’s total use of the vaccine which is no surprise to me because there are always that few percentage that get left out. Schools from seventh through twelfth grade must have proof that the student has obtained the vaccine which is good and bad because for good, it prevents other students from getting sick and bad because if the student was unknown to it as the student didn’t know about the vaccine or was part of that few percent that couldn’t receive the vaccine on time.
The law indicates that students without the vaccine will be sent home and the school will notify the parents about taking their child to acquire the vaccine shot which is not a great thing but it is a law. After deadlines are passing, a fair amount of students is unable to go to school which is sad because I would like everyone to have a chance to learn and be successful in life. A lot of health departments within or out of the district have free clinics which I agree with because it saves time for people instead of being far away especially if the deadline was near. This comment was from a lady name Lisa Wilcox ("It's tough right now. Without this, we wouldn't have been able to afford it,") this comment catch my eye and made me feel relive because that person couldn’t afford it, by this health clinic being free of the vaccine, really save her sons education.

Fair Days in School
San Mateo, California where i was born, but quickly move out east bay towards Concord where I live and went to school. The school I went to was name Concord High School. Being at Concord High was fair, reason why because it was balance between good and bad protaining to violence and nice days. So going there was almost anonymous because you never know what type of day it will be. It was almost like guessing a question on a quiz or test, but that's just me.
The atmosphere at Concord High was mostly mellow, laid back kind of school. Fights would break out at times because we had wanna be gangs there. The facilities where under construction at the time so we only had the hallways to walk through during my years there. Teachers were fair at my school, some care for their students, some didn't. I was one of the fortunate students to have teachers that help me throughout high school. Students there was one of the reasons why I went to school. They have an impact on my life in so many different ways and also because of the relationships you build. You part ways after graduating with everyone, you may keep in touch with some, but not all. The community support was good, the school help out a lot of students in many ways to make them successful.

Adapt between Slang and Professionalism
Being able to adapt from slang to being professional is like from being a child to becoming an adult because it takes time, effort, patience, growth, and a learning process. Starting from a baby, mostly parents would always be the influence until you get old enough to be expose to different environments. With new people besides your parents, you become influence and adapt by all these mixture of different languges. Thats when they choose how and what to adapt between slang and professionalism.
I'm thankful for being able to adapt between slang and professionalism. Before, friends had an influence on me and I would be like "fasho" or "What It Do Homie". As around my family, I would do my best to keep proper language to advoid being in trouble. My slang started to fade away when I was in high school. I started speaking out in a formal tone because of the classes I was taking. Now I like using professional langauge more than slang. So I'm happy to know when to use slang and professional speech.
