The Mural and The Occupy Movement

The way how Rivera’s Frozen Assets mural and the Occupy Movement are comparable is that the two connect by poverty. Rivera’s picture shows the people in the middle picture were starving and sleeping in construction places do to bankruptcy to both men and women, and the occupy movement fighting the economic issue between rich and poor. I believe it’s a clear connection because the mural and the occupy movement described their titles specifically and they are both part of the 99% role in deficiency. Both of the events first happen on Wall Street. The mural shows the depression by the colors, they look deteriorating and the occupy movement show depression by the number of people who have gone unemployed to protest because they feel imbalanced about the economy and where it has gone to. During the great depression, people that were affluent had hidden banks to save their money in. As for the occupy movement, it appears that even though an economic problem is in the mist, people that wealthy have hidden organizations to keep their money safe. Having a smaller amount of jobs is another reason why these two occasions connect. In the great depression, jobs where very few and there was barely any employment for the poor and middle class. For the occupy movement, businesses are hard to find now and days for people that were unfortunate or even middle class. This is why I think the picture of Rivera’s Frozen Assets mural and The Occupy Movement are alike because they both define the word Depression.

Inspiration Dance

My inspiration comes from dancing, watching peoples body language, how they expressing themselves, and how fluent their movements are to the beats of the music. When I watch people dance, I feel that they are telling a story wither it’s about their life or within the song. One of the most dancing styles that inspire me is krumping. Krumping is a dance art that involves intense control movement to the muscles. I learned that dance art in high school watching a movie called Rize. Rize is about a movie introducing the new art of dance which is Krump. One the dancers called krumpers in this movie is a man named Tight Eyez. Tight Eyez is the creator and founder the dance art of krumping. His dancing inspires me to learned this skill and continue to progress further of being fluent in this dance style. My interest in krump became stronger as I watch youtube videos and TV shows in college. This dance style is set in a community feel because krumping is express in a way where you release your problems for an example, relieves you of stress, you feel better, if you have anger, krumping is a great way to get rid of the anger you have. I shared this inspiration with people because dancing kept me away from doing wrong. Most people I shared with agree strongly and like how I applied this dance style for good reasons. As I continue to enhance my skills in dancing, I use practice for dance battles and choreography. I am still in progress and will always find ways to improve my skills on dancing. This inspiration will last forever because I love this dance style, it’s a part of me, It’s my healing and problem solving when I’m feeling down or angry, and I’m really good at it.
